As I began thinking about writing this post, I realized that I have actually been writing it for more than fifteen years. My latest post on the issue “Separating the Chaff in Christian America” was the final piece. Like pieces to a puzzle fit together to form a picture, if you focus only on one section you limit your view of the bigger picture. A great example of this is my post “Endowed to Allowed.” This could be seen as a political post; however, if you read closely and completely you will find it is about God, His blessings and our responsibility. Other important post pieces are “One Nation Under God or One Ungodly Nation” and “In What Do You Have Faith.” Interestingly, these “post pieces” span all three categories, “Just A Thought,” “Improving Life” and “Steel-Toed Shoes.”
The following is not a “safe place.” As is made clear in “Endowed to Allowed,” with our compliance, the secular world has “redefined” the English language under the umbrella of “political correctness” in order to move away from God. Christian America has sat quietly by while those who would remove God’s morality from our society install their own backwards version. Even worse, we use the weapons they forge under this secular morality to attack other Christians fighting to preserve God’s. We disregard at will God’s commandments while maintaining a strict adherence to “tolerance” and “compassion” as defined by this “safe” new world (Revelations 2:18-22). Our religions have not only allowed this evolving world to interpret our scriptures for us, too many preach these lies from their pulpits (Isaiah 5:20,21). We accept “judge not lest ye be judged” all the while knowing that this speaks to two things: 1) not to assume God’s role in condemnation 2) not to be “hypocrites” by calling out sin in others all the while sinning ourselves (Luke 6:39-42). In fact, under any Godly interpretation, the Bible not only instructs us to “judge” the sins of man, but also what those sins specifically are and how to respond. Even further it tells us to hold those claiming to be God’s “teachers” (Christians) to a higher standard. No where does it provide for “tolerance” of sin in ourselves or in others (1 Timothy 1:3-11).
There are those who have reduced the “equal justice” that America was founded on to the discrimination of “social justice.” They cherry pick and redefine God’s message of love to justify secular acts of redistribution and other restrictions on our “endowed” freedoms (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). We cower from our responsibility to uphold God’s principles and play along when the world says, “remove the log from your own eye first…” retreating from our convictions under the mighty threat of a mirror. We ignore the fact that God says a sin is a sin once it occurs in our mind. We hide behind platitudes like “hate the sin not the sinner,” forgetting that the flip side of that coin is that it is not love to accept the sin at the expense of the sinner (Revelations 3:19, Ezekiel 3:17-21).
It is this lazy and cowardly sand on which we as Christians have stood for too long. The tide has come in and, as pointed out in “Separating the Chaff…”, like America’s founders, we have come to a place of choosing. Will we return to the cornerstone of God’s Word or be forever washed away with the sands of secular morality? Will we sit in the shadows with our faux principles and surrender this “One Nation Under God” once and for all (1 John 2:15-17, Ephesians 6:10-17)?
Here (in no particular order) is what I am sure is a partial list of what we have allowed to be defined and embraced as “moral” with the authority we arrogantly take away from God.
- Systematically removing God from “One Nation Under God”
- Removing prayer from school
- Banning “God created” from school curriculum while allowing the “theory of evolution” to be taught unopposed
- Removing crosses and other references to God from public property
- Stopping individuals from praying at graduations, football games, school board meetings and more
- Rewriting history to remove God’s role in America’s founding
- Allowing universities to restrict talk about God to “free speech zones”
- Removing “so help me God” from oaths
- Accepting sex outside of marriage
- Redefining marriage outside of one man and one women
- Supporting sexual relationships within one sex
- Removing protection of an “Endowed” life before birth
- Justifying the killing of one life because of the victimization of another (the mother)
- Legally preventing parents from being told when their child is being counseled toward this act and even when this invasive medical assault is being performed
- Allowing the sale of body parts from those who are killed
- Redefining of genders to more than the two God created and re-assigning genders
- Making it “wrong” to stop adults of one gender from undressing in front of our children of another gender (Read Plea from a Rape Survivor)
- Making it “illegal” to live our beliefs and not hire (support) those active in this behavior
- Allowing children to be given drugs and sexually mutilated in pursuit of re-gendering
- Allowing schools to be required to accept and teach multi-genderism and transgenderism
Gender Ideology Harms Children (Yes, I know this link no longer works. As this was predictable I downloaded and saved a copy for those interested in the Truth.)
- Making it “wrong” to stop adults of one gender from undressing in front of our children of another gender (Read Plea from a Rape Survivor)
- Redefining “All” and “Equal”
- Violating “All men are created equal” by showing preference; accepting that “discrimination” is the solution to “discrimination”
- Embracing that to be “Equal” requires the acceptance of sinful behavior
- Embracing “multiculturalism” and equating all gods to have equal authority and reverence in a Judeo-Christian country
- Allowing a politician’s oath to “protect and defend” the Constitution as originally intended under a Judeo-Christian God to be sworn in with a Quran
- Allowing the government and the courts against our “Endowed rights” to prohibit “the free exercise thereof”
- Accepting government fines of Christians for exercising their faith by refusing to participate in activities that violate their Christian beliefs
- Selling flowers, baking cakes, providing space, etc.
- Forcing Christians to hire people who represent a belief system in direct conflict to theirs
- Participating in a government tax program for financial benefit that requires government monitoring and approval
- We withhold our support from organizations that don’t have that “non-profit” status
- Allowing our higher education system to become and remain a hostile environment for Christians
- The majority of Christians sit home and don’t protect God’s country with their vote
- Accepting government fines of Christians for exercising their faith by refusing to participate in activities that violate their Christian beliefs
Revelations 2:18 “To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. 19 I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first. 20 Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. 21 I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. 22 So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways.
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight!
Luke 6:39 And He also spoke a parable to them: “A blind man cannot guide a blind man, can he? Will they not both fall into a pit? 40 “A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher. 41 “Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 42 “Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.
1 Timothy 1:3-11 As I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines, 4 nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering the administration of God which is by faith. 5 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6 For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion, 7 wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions. 8 But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, 9 realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers 10 and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, 11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.
2 Corinthians 11:13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
Revelations 3:19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
Ezekiel 3:17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself. 20 “Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 21 But if you do warn the righteous person not to sin and they do not sin, they will surely live because they took warning, and you will have saved yourself.”
I John 2:15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.
Ephesians 6:10-17 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
