Forgotten Hope (Paperback)
The author states clearly that Forgotten Hope is not written to entertain or even inspire. Forgotten Hope is written in accordance with Proverbs 2:9-10, “…you will discern righteousness and justice and equity and every good course. For wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.” And as an aid to 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.” Chapter 8 alone quotes Scripture 300 times, and the remaining chapters nearly 300 more times. You could say Forgotten Hope is a study guide to the Offer of Hope and our embracing of that Offer. Like any study guide, it is not designed to be simply read through, but to be pondered, and to provoke thought… and change.
Here is an excerpt from one of Forgotten Hope’s earliest 5-star reviews, offered November 22, 2020:
“I grew up in the church and have been exposed to many forms of Christian teaching over the years. None have challenged me to so deeply consider, understand, and apply the Truth to my life as the contents of this book have…This book is not a quick read. It is thought-provoking at the heart level. If you’re not interested in being challenged to reconsider the way you think about and understand God or how He thinks about you, you won’t want to read this. But if you’re genuinely tired of the path you’ve been on and are looking for hope, this book will point you in the right direction. As I read, I heard conflicting voices: the familiar voice of fear telling me that the effort and change isn’t worth the discomfort I’m sure to face in this life by actively walking in the truth. And the Voice of Hope offering new life, true joy, peace and rest as defined by Him, regardless of my life circumstances. ‘Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.’ (Matthew 11:28-30)”
This review accurately sums up the author’s intent in following the Lord’s direction to publish The Hope Series. As represented on the back cover of Forgotten Hope, “Let me state for the record something that likely has never donned the cover of a book before: this book is not for you… Unless life has brought you sadness and despair or a feeling that there is no hope. Yet, somewhere far off, when you quiet your mind, you hear a faint call. If this is you, Hope calls your name! You are one of the Lost. Whether wandering in a world that would hide this Hope from you or sitting in a church pew with a hymn on your lips but no song in your heart, Hope ‘knocks’ and awaits your response…
This book is not for you… Unless, no longer Lost, you are one who has heard and answered the call. If this is you, you find even the padded pew a little hard and the light through the stained-glass burns at your soul, ‘“…go out among the wolves…” and find my Lost sheep. Relay The Offer of Hope and bring them home.’”Digital Content

Forgotten Hope (eBook-ePub)
To those who find life desperate or just routine. To those who struggle to get out of bed or just can’t seem to get to sleep. To those who believe there is no more and to those who ask, “Is this it?” This book leads you to a Forgotten Hope!
Take a walk with the author as he searches through time for those who sought and fought to retain and revive this Hope. On this walk, the author details the “Offer of Hope” for what it is and what it is not. As you come to understand The Offer, you will take solace in passages like, “I offer you Peace that your heart will not be troubled and that you will not be afraid.” As you walk, the author will expose the truth of a culture that would steal this Hope from you and counter it with Truth from The Offer, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.” The author explains the warfare between those of the physical world and those of the spiritual world.
